Can you explain why some vacant lots, and abandoned buildings have not been hit with "vacant" or "blighted" status? I have been told that simply putting a "For Lease" sign on the property is enough to avoid? Seems ridiculous.
I ask because of a specific property (1322 9th). The historic carriage house in back is in complete disrepair and falling apart (roof caving in), and the rest of the lot has never been kept up at all over the past 10 years.
